On these pages, you will find mate in one chess problems. These are the easiest problems to solve, yet even grandmasters sometimes miss them after hours of playing (see the Kramnik-Deep Fritz game under Computer Chess!). Checkmate involves placing the enemy king under attack and cutting off all possible squares of attack. As you click the slideshow button or move the cursor across the screen, you will see the solution.
These problems will be updated daily, so there will always be new additions. Please come back to see future problems and to improve your ability in chess.
